Ann Healy has been involved in Irish Dance throughout her lifetime. As a young girl, she performed in tap and ballet
groups, but her love for Irish dance was of utmost importance. As a Physical Education instructor, Ann taught in many parochial schools. She included Irish dance as part of the curriculum which introduced thousands of young children to the art form. She took her T.C.R.G. exam in San Francisco in 1967. She went back to Ireland for her A.D.C.R.G. exam in 1971, which made her the first American adjudicator in the Western Region. |

Patti Ann Ranum, ADCRG, TCRG |

Patti Ann Ranum was born and
raised in the world of Irish
dancing. Throughout her competitive
Irish dance career, she won
numerous medals and trophies,
including 1st place in Senior
Ladies at the first ever
Western Regional Oireachtas.
She was the first dancer from
the West coast to represent the
Western Region at the World
Championships in Ireland. She
received her T.C.R.G. from An
Comision in 1981 and her A.D.C.R.G.
in 1997. Her knowledge of dance is
not limited to Irish. She has had
extensive training in various types
of dance, including, ballet, jazz,
Scottish, and tap. She has raised 5
children to whom she will pass the
legacy of the Healy School on. |

Christina Ranum, DPT |

Christina began Irish dancing at age 2. Throughout her competitive
career, she won 1st place in the Western Region Oireachtas 12 times and consistently placed in
the top 10 at the North American Championships with her top ranking being 3rd. Christina reached a lifetime goal at the
World Championships in Belfast in 2000 by placing 16th. She attended the University of Michigan
and during her study, she took Irish dance classes from 2-time World Champion Tim O'Hare
and Megan Sanders. In 2002, she received her B.S. in Movement Science from the University of Michigan. From 1999 to 2003, Christina enjoyed touring on the weekends with "A Celtic Celebration", a symphony pops concert. In 2002, she moved back to the Bay Area and began teaching for the Healy studio. She recently graduated from graduate school and earned her Doctorate of Physical Therapy. She looks forward to further implementing her physical therapy knowledge into the Healy Irish dance program. |

Alisa Ranum |

Alisa has been dancing since she can remember. Her competitive career began
at age 3. She was the Western Region Oireachtas Champion 6 times while she always placed
in the top 3 finishers. She competed and medalled annually at the North American Championships and her highest ranking was 4th. Alisa holds a World Championship medal for placing 14th in
the Senior Ladies Ceili in 2004. She was an integral part of both training the Senior team and also the Junior Girls Ceili team that placed 5th at the World Championships in 2006. Alisa's professional career began at 16 when she joined the Trinity Irish Dance Company in 1999.
She toured for 6 years as one of Trinity's principal dancers to places including Japan, Taiwan, Central America, Puerto Rico, and every North American state. In 2006, she earned her California real estate license enabling her to work at a commercial real estate firm in Marin County. She plans to become a T.C.R.G.
in the future so that she can carry on the family tradition of Irish dance excellence in the
Bay Area. |
